JEAN-LUC MCMURTRY

Jean-Luc McMurtry, founder of VLV Studios, is a film director, music producer, audio engineer, video editor, and actor. His diverse portfolio includes directing and producing Fixation, Idol Chaser and Welcome Home (featuring Bardo actor Ximena LaMadrid), and 8 acclaimed music videos, with one earning a Best Director nomination at the Texas Short Film Festival. He has recorded and produced over 60 songs for a diverse array of musicians across various genres, and has worked as a lead branding expert for numerous clients spanning many industries.

As an actor, Jean-Luc has appeared in HBO’s The Staircase opposite Juliette Binoche and in The Idea of You with Anne Hathaway. He has worked with notable directors such as Antonio Campos, Sam Mendes, Robert O’Hara, and Michael Showalter.

Under Jean-Luc’s leadership, VLV Studios excels in creating music, narrative films, branded content, and music videos, delivering high-quality artistry and professionalism in every project.

EMILY MCMURTRY

Emily McMurtry (AKA Emily Keefe) is an accomplished producer, editor, press representative, and actor. At VLV Studios, she has produced music videos and narrative works, edited branded content, and managed press for over 250 artists and projects, landing clients in publications like The Hollywood Reporter and The New York Times.

As an actor, she has starred in five feature films, most recent being movie musical Intermedium. She has also appeared many other feature and short films, and on TV shows like The Blacklist, Crashing, and Billions. Her work has been seen at SCAD Savannah Film Festival, HollyShorts, SOHO International Film Festival, AMC and Regal movie theaters nationwide, and more.
